We’re committed to being the church! Whether inside or outside the walls of our building, we show Jesus through our generosity and genuine acceptance of people, regardless of where they are in life. Our weekly services are casual and friendly, our worship is authentic and our weekly messages are easy to apply to everyday life. We experience real life together.

Our Story

In 2020, American churches shut their doors as tyrannical overreach threatened the masses with fear and control. It was during this time that Chris and Amber felt the stirring of the Lord in their hearts as He set them ablaze to be an answer to the problem in the culture of their day. While churches had closed their doors in Houston, a ministry in Burleson, Texas that remained open and unafraid. This courageous fortitude resonated with Chris and Amber, and they began to drive four hours on the weekends with their two young children to attend church, serve at the food bank and connect with the Pastors.

The hearts of Chris and Amber to see the church arise and shine in an hour when darkness covered the face of the earth compelled them to fast and pray, as the Lord prompted them to plant the first sister campus of OpenDoor Church Burleson. What started off as a satellite extension of the Burleson campus has now become a sister campus with in house speakers, teachers and Pastors who edify and spur on the body of Christ. OpenDoor Houston is a thriving community of faith that Chris and Amber have pioneered, in order to equip and commission others to go fearlessly into their spheres of influence and take the Kingdom of heaven to with them.

OpenDoor Houston desires to make an impact here in the city of Houston through feeding the community at their monthly food bank, raising awareness and providing resources to combat trafficking alongside their ministry partners, as well through disciplining the next generation as they sow seeds into their lives and raise them up to serve and fulfill God’s call for such a time as this.
